Early October, a group of us are flying Southend to Rotterdam The Hague for a night away. It is a short hop on paper, but it is the club's first proper sea crossing, so it takes some planning.
The paperwork: General Aviation Reports for everyone on board, handling and PPR booked with the local flying club, and passports checked well ahead of time. The kit: life jackets for everyone, a PLB, and a good long look at the weather before we commit.
We will write up the real trip — route, photos and the odd lesson learned — once we are back.
